NOMINATE Which Companies Need to Improve Their Image - Work It Daily

NOMINATE Which Companies Need to Improve Their Image - Work It Daily By CAREEREALISM Founder, J.T. O'Donnell Last week, we started a campaign to get companies involved in supporting the 15+ million job seekers in the U.S. - many of whom can't afford the kind of career help they desperately need. The fact is, we're all businesses-of-one and every job is temporary. We must learn how to stay employable by marketing ourselves consistently and correctly. Especially, those who have been let go and are experiencing extended unemployment. A lot of the free career resources out there are outdated and don't apply to today's job seeker. Besides, aiding the unemployed by giving them access to cutting-edge career support (i.e. a Career HMO) makes good business sense. Once they find work, they no longer need unemployment compensation...so everybody wins. Here's my question: Which companies in the last year have gotten the reputation of being a lousy employer? Who needs to improve their corporate image in the eyes of America? I'm looking to compile a list of companies who we should contact about donating subscriptions to CAREEREALISM Club to needy job seekers - and I need your help. Post the names of companies that should get involved in our project below and tell us why. What did they do wrong that has landed them the nomination? (Or, you can e-mail me the names privately at info@workitdaily.com if you want to be anonymous.) We can help these companies improve their image by getting them to help the people they've let down. I look forward to your nominations! Have you joined our career growth club?Join Us Today!
